About me

I am a mosaic artist native to Inis Mór, the Aran Islands and currently living there. My passion for mosaic began after I graduated from SETU 1996, Waterford with a National Diploma in Art and later obtained a National Diploma in Interior Design in Galway.

A self-taught mosaic artist, I have worked passionately to develop my own unique style through years of practice and passion. My work is deeply inspired by the natural beauty of the island, surrounded by sea, stone, and seasonal change.

My mosaics range from modern geometric patterns that are both simple and complex. I work in a contemporary style while staying rooted in the traditions of classical mosaic. I enjoy combining natural materials like ceramics, smalti, glass, and stone to create texture, scale, and form, which are always central to each piece.

I create one-of-a-kind contemporary mosaics for galleries and homes, and I’ve recently expanded my practice to include adult and children’s workshops, sharing my passion and skills with others. Additionally, I completed a week-long classical mosaic workshop in Ravenna, Italy, further enriching my artistic journey and deepening my connection to the art form.
